I have been a teacher in Kent for the last 6 years after qualifying at Canterbury Christchurch University in 2015. Here I completed my Postgraduate Certificate of Education.
I also hold an undergraduate degree in Broadcasting and Journalism from Nottingham Trent University, where I qualified in 2013.
Over the last 6 years I have worked predominately in Key Stage One, having also taught in Years and 4. I have been part of the Village Academy since 2018, having held posts at both Dymchurch and Petham. I spent a year as Year 2 class teacher and writing leader at Dymchurch before moving across to teach at Petham, where I am current in post as the Year 1/2 class teacher and maths subject leader.
I am incredibly passionate about teaching and education and ensuring that we are continually reflecting on our practice to ensure we drive standards forward. I thoroughly enjoy working as part of a great team to ensure the children in our care receive the education that they deserve.
